Top destinations to discover around six fours les plages
1) Six-Fours and its beaches
Just 1.5km from Camping Six Fours, you’ll find the large gravel beach of Bonnegrâce, the largest in the resort. It measures approximately 1.2km and is located along the Promenade Charles de Gaulle. If you follow the coastal path towards the port of Le Brusc, you’ll find sandy beaches such as Plage de la Coudoulière, Plage du Rayolet and Plage du Port du Cros. Above the Coudoulière beach, you can also discover the Parc de la Méditerranée and its Cap Nègre battery.

At the end of the Beaches, the little port of Le Brusc welcomes you for a trip to Ile des Embiez, or for a stroll around the lagoon, its posidonia and the Presqu’Ile du Gaou. You’ll also have the chance to get away from it all as you cross the Cap Sicié Massif with its pine trees and cicadas, and then arrive at the 350-meter-high Nôtre Dame du Mai (small chapel). The site offers a panoramic view of the Toulon harbor and the Embiez archipelago.
2) Embiez island
The île des Embiez is a land of paradise easily accessible all year round, reached by boat from the charming port of Le Brusc, just 11 minutes from the 4-star Les Playes campsite near Toulon.

An island to dream about: escape, rest, enjoy, entertain, get together – Les Embiez can be lived à la carte! With 90% of the Mediterranean’s natural species, the island of Les Embiez is rich in flora and fauna. Its wild side is both the most surprising and the most appreciated: secret coves, reefs, pine forest and garrigue, flowers and its wine estate and cellar. On foot or by bike, the spectacular views of the island from the top of its tower and its natural diversity are a unique experience… A variety of water and land-based activities are available, including diving, kayaking and paddle boarding. Bikes and boats can be rented on the island, as can a guided tour of the island on a mini-train. An internationally renowned site for yachtsmen, divers and sea lovers, the island is also known for its Institut Océanographique Paul Ricard, which houses a small aquarium. The Toulon campsite offers a wide range of activities.

3) The Calanques of Cassis
A 45-minute boat tour is often the best way to get a complete overview of the calanques, especially if you can’t devote more than a day to it. To reach the three calanques of Cassis en balade, a 12km walk from the Port Miou cove to the En-Vau cove takes about 1 hr 30 min.

Lovers of hiking, swimming, diving or simply breathtaking scenery, the rocky bays of the internationally renowned Calanques de Cassis promise relaxation and a total change of scenery. The national park des Calanques links Marseille to Cassis on nearly 20 km of marked trails.

4) Porquerolles island
Porquerolles is presented as a ” sublime” island. ” heavenly “a change of scenery “. So many mouth-watering adjectives. This island, 7 km long and 3 km wide, is the largest and most cultivated of the Golden Isles; The isle de Porquerolles, a magical place just a few minutes by boat from the Presqu’île de Giens in Hyères, where you’ll find five sandy beaches and coves with clear turquoise waters.

The island of Porquerolles really seduced us with a diversity of landscapes we didn’t expect to find: the lighthouse, its four forts, its windmill, its three wine estates and their delicious nectar. The landscapes reveal different atmospheres, from Brittany to the West Indies; So, to protect biodiversity, you’ll also find the national Mediterranean botanical conservatory on the island, thanks to which we can record and verify the condition of each species (fig and mulberry varieties, and its national collection of olive varieties) and thus prevent extinctions.
While out and about, you can discover the four hiking circuits (the forts circuit, the ridges circuit, the water circuit and the landscapes circuit).

5) Sanary-Sur-Mer
Take a stroll along the quays to discover the small traditional fishing boats known as “pointus“. Take a stroll through the pedestrian streets of the town center, where you’ll find fashion boutiques, craft shops and art galleries. Sanary has become a stronghold for shopping fans in the Var. Facing the harbor, the Neo-Byzantine façade of the Church Saint Nazaire is the starting point” of the Way of the Cross ” or “montée des oratoires”, which offers a remarkable view of the town. The big market in Sanary-sur-Mer takes place regularly in the morning on Wednesdays at the port. There are over 320 exhibitors at the market, selling fruit and vegetables, fish and seafood, butcher’s and delicatessen products, farmers’ and local produce, clothing, utensils, furniture, toys and other non-food products, and flowers and plants. In fact, the Sanary-sur-Mer market was voted “Most Beautiful Market in France “ in a national competition organized by TF1 in 2018.

Enclosed by walls with only two fortified gates, we let ourselves be guided along the narrow streets. If you visit the village at lunchtime or dinnertime, you won’t be able to resist the delicate smells of Provencal cuisine wafting in from the open windows…
The medieval village “Le Castellet”, located in the heart of the vignoble de Bandol, is renowned for its motor racing circuit, the Paul Ricard racetrack, and its medieval château, which is listed as a Monument Historique.
